REVEAL THE HUMAN

My name is Jon Banach, and I am an artist devoted to the craft of humanist, empathetic, and cinematic storytelling. In every story that I direct or photograph, it’s imperative that I find within it and reveal the human element that lies underneath the facades we put on every day.

Each project must become emotionally rooted to this element, for it is the seed of empathy of which all artistic intentions flow from and towards. It is our job as filmmakers, as artists, to foster connection and empathy among all those who experience our work.

In rooting each project to the human element, with the fundamental intention of fostering empathy, we create art that extends beyond ourselves and unto the community and society at large, making us feel a little bit less alone, and ultimately, a little bit more human.

I enjoy working in all fields of cinematic storytelling, but am currently focused on pursuing a career in directing, cinematography, and post-production (editorial and color).
